Veronica Polin è Professore Associato di Scienza delle Finanze presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Economiche dell’Università di Verona, dove è responsabile del Visual Research Lab, progetto sperimentale di analisi economica territoriale attraverso l’utilizzo della fotografia. I suoi attuali interessi di ricerca concernono la sostenibilità e il benessere delle persone e dei territori, in particolare quelli montani, e nuove visioni economiche della povertà urbana. Nei suoi studi predilige un approccio interdisciplinare di taglio partecipativo e mixed methods. Ha partecipato a progetti di ricerca nazionali e internazionali e ha svolto attività di consulenza per istituzioni locali e regionali. Recentemente ha pubblicato la monografia Homeless e città. Una relazione identitaria da esplorare con Giappichelli (2020) e ha contributo, in qualità di co-autore, alla stesura di diversi capitoli del volume “Moving Alps. Le conseguenze sociali della dismissione industriale nello spazio alpino europeo” (a cura di Lorenzo Migliorati, Franco Angeli 2021)
