Curriculum

EDOARDO DEMO is Associate of Economic History at the University of Verona, from which he received his PhD in Economic History in 1999. He was a research fellow at the University Cà Foscari in Venice and subsequently at the University of Padua. His main interests are the economic and social history of the Venetian mainland in the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Age. He is the author of L’«anima della città». L’industria tessile a Verona e Vicenza (1400-1550) (Milano, Edizioni Unicopli, 2001); Mercanti di Terraferma. Uomini, merci e capitali nell'Europa del Cinquecento (Milano 2012); and of Venezia- Senato. Deliberazioni miste. Registro XXII (1344-1345) (Venezia, Istituto Veneto di Scienze Lettere ed Arti, 2007) and nearly seventy essays and articles related mainly to the mercantile world of northern Italy between the 15th and 18th centuries.

Population aging and generational transitions
The project deals with the demographic change in an interdisciplinary perspective and aims to elaborate new juridical tools for this problem and for the related generational transitions.
