At the University of Verona since 2009, where he is Professor of Econometrics since 2019. Between 2021 and 2024 he was the Coordinator of the PhD program in Economics and Finance.Since 2024 he is the Head of the Department of Economics. He accomplished a laurea (master's) degree in Statistical and Economic Sciences (2003) and a PhD in Economics and Management (2007) at the University of Padua. In the past he held research positions at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the University of Padova and the University of Amsterdam. He has been adjunct professor at the University of Padua, IMT Lucca and Bocconi University of Milan.
His research deals with household saving and investment decisions, the economic impact of public and environmental policies, economic behavior in response to traumatic events, economics of dishonesty, and in general applied micro-econometrics. He published articles in Ecological Economics, Journal of Health Economics, Journal of the European Economic Association, Review of Economics and Statistics, Review of Finance and other international scientific journals.
