The SHIELD project aims to develop advanced solutions to protect users of decentralized finance systems from cyber fraud. Additionally, it seeks to create effective tools to prevent, detect, and counter cyber threats targeting medical devices and patients' personal data in remote healthcare systems.
In the context of decentralized finance, the research group at the University of Verona (UNIVR) will focus on developing predictive models based on deep learning techniques for fraud risk assessment, with a particular emphasis on the interpretability of results.
Regarding remote healthcare systems, UNIVR’s research activities will aim to develop a systematic methodology for assessing the risk associated with the collection and analysis of sensor data, and to design a data flow monitoring system capable of identifying potential high-risk situations for patient privacy.
