I obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Verona in December 2025, with a thesis titled "Essays in Historical Political Economy." My research interests lie at the intersection between Economic History and Political Economy. I work primarily on Liberal and Fascist Italy (1858-1945). Specifically, my research so far has focused on the fiscal policy and fiscal capacity of Italian municipalities in post-Napoleonic and Liberal Italy (1818-1913), the electrification of the Italian economy between the 1890s and 1920s, and on the selection and behaviour of the Fascist bureaucratic èlites following the March on Rome.
