The course aims to provide the basic techniques of descriptive statistics, of probability and inferential statistics to students of degree courses in economics and business and who have already acquired the necessary knowledge of mathematics provided with the basic teachings.
These techniques provide a quantitative analysis methodology useful for descriptive purposes, interpretation and decision-making, based on observation, collection and processing of collective phenomena and are essential in the interpretation of the official statistical information as well as in the launching of statistical surveys of economic and social phenomena.
a) Descriptive Statistics
c) Inferential Statistics
The examination consists of a written test (about 2 hours and 30 minutes) composed of a selection of exercises and by a series of closed questions.
They will be admitted to the oral test only those students who have attained a grade greater than or equal to 15/30 in exercises and in closed questions (both!).
