The course is divided in three modules: the first one (Giovanni Tondini, 1 credit, 8 hours) deals with intruments and objectives in economic policy. The second module (Roberto Ricciuti, 6 credits, 48 hours) on the one hand analyses issues raised by the European Monetary Union, on the other hand deals with sovereing debt crisis in historical perspective. The third module (Marcella Veronesi, 2 credits, 16 hours) introduces instruments for environmental economic policy and deals with market failures, externalities, public goods, sustainable development, and the relationship between economic growth, increasing population and the environment.
