The master’s program is characterized by a general-purpose and international flavor, and covers such fields as economic theory and policy, business and management economics, fundamentals of European law and public economics, applied economics and econometrics. The analysis of real-world problems is particularly stressed.
The program trains students in theoretical and applied economics through course work, participation in seminars, and supervised research within a supportive environment. Activities are organized in order to stimulate the active and ongoing participation of the students, also through direct and personalized relationship with the teaching body.
MAGEC is devoted not only to students holding a bachelor’s degree in Economics. It is also a good match for students with background in political sciences, engineering, mathematics and statistics, willing to understand economic issues more in depth.
MAGEC graduates master the main theoretical and analytical tools of modern economics, and are able to critically interpret economic facts and independently work with real data. Their skill profile is especially suited for a managerial or research-oriented role in public or private organizations. The thorough training offered by the degree also allows MAGEC graduates to start a Ph.D. in Economics.
Degree programme annual factsheet (SUA-CdS)
As part of the Quality Assurance system, complete, updated and easily available information on objectives, study plan, resources used and results achieved for each degree programme is made available through the SUA-CdS - Scheda Unica Annuale del Corso di Studio (Degree programme annual factsheet). This includes an Overview and three public sections (Learning Objectives, Student Experience, Learning Outcomes) which together provide a wide range of information about each degree programme. The SUA-CdS also contains an administrative section (Administration and Quality Management) that is for internal use only.
The Degree programme annual factsheet (SUA-CdS), which is currently available only in Italian, is a valuable tool that can be used by the University to design, implement and reorganise, as well as to evaluate, each degree programme. However, the SUA-CdS factsheet is also useful for students, to help them choose the right programme of study.
