Curriculum

Associate Professor at the Department of Economics of the University of Verona since 2007. Previously he was Associate Professor at the University of Milano-Bicocca since 1998 and Researcher at the University of Verona since 1988. He was graduated in Mathematics at the University of Padua and was visiting fellow at the Numerical Optimization Centre of Hatfield Polytechnic (UK). His research activity was firstly concentrated in matrix decomposition and optimization methods, particularly implemented on parallel computers with distributed memory. Later his research dealt with theory and methods for nondifferentiable optimization.

Mathematical Methods; Programming Models; Mathematical and Simulation Modeling
MSC 49M37 - Methods of nonlinear programming type Methods for solving constrained  and unconstrained problems with non-linear functions. This includes the Gradient type methods, Method of conjugate gradient, Newton-type methods, Near-Newton methods, Penalization methods and Interior Point methods. It also covers differentiable  and non-differentiable case study, Multi-objective optimization and numerical experimentation of the mentioned methods on test problems and application to real problems.
