Curriculum

Luca Zarri is a Professor of Economic Policy at the Economics Department of the University of Verona, where, since 2023, he chairs the Student-Faculty Joint Teaching Committee (CPDS).

He received a BSc in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University, an MSc in Economics and Philosophy from the London School of Economics, a PhD in Economics from the University of Pavia and a PhD in Economics from the University of East Anglia. He has been a visiting scholar at Carnegie Mellon University and an adjunct professor at the University of Bologna, the Catholic University of Milan and the University of Milano-Bicocca. In 2006, he lectured within the first undergraduate economics course ever taught in English at the University of Verona. He has also evaluated research projects and activities for several national and international institutions. He has delivered talks at numerous civic engagement events, including initiatives coordinated by the European Commission, the OECD and Médecins Sans Frontières. He has been Deputy Director of the Economics Department of the University of Verona from October 2018 to November 2021.

Professor Zarri's research focuses on behavioral economics and experimental economics and, in these areas, he has published in more than 20 international journals including Journal of Economic Perspectives, Games and Economic Behavior, Journal of Law, Economics, and Organization, NeuroImage, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Public Choice and Scandinavian Journal of Economics. He serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics and, since September 2023, is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Economic Psychology.
