Dopo aver conseguito il Dottorato in Economia presso la Graduate School of Economics and Management, Chiara Nardi ha lavorato alla Frankfurt School of Finance and Management (Germania) dove è stata prima assegnista di ricerca con una borsa finanziata dal Fondo Gianesini (iniziativa promossa da UniCredit Foundation)  e poi ricercatrice. Alla Frankfurt School ha contribuito alla creazione del laboratorio di economia sperimentale e ne ha curato tutte le attività scientifiche. Nell'ottobre 2017 si è trasferita al Dipartimento di Scienze Economiche dell'Università di Verona come assegnista di ricerca e professoressa a contratto di microeconomia.

La sua principale attività di ricerca si svolge nell’ambito dell’economia sperimentale e comportamentale. Pubblica i suoi lavori su riviste nazionali e internazionali e ha recentemente ottenuto la Cordusio Research Grant (finanziamento offerto da UniCredit & Universities Foundation a eccellenti giovani studiosi italiani di economia e finanza).
