Overview
The Department of Economics (DSE) of the University of Verona promotes and coordinates teaching and research activities in the broad areas of economics and statistics. The Department strives to attain levels of excellence in theoretical and applied research and continually increases its international profile.The Department offers a Bachelor’s degree, three 2 year Master’s degrees and one PhD programme, as well as Advanced courses and Short Master’s courses. DSE academics also teach on many other Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes at the University.
Research conducted by the Department covers a wide range of topics, such as quantitative finance, public policy analysis, analysis of the causes and effects of inequality and poverty, industrial organization issues and analysis of market structures, health economics, international and development economics, the analysis and interpretation of economic processes in an historical perspective and the development of appropriate methods to collect and analyse economic data.
