The course is divided in two modules: The module led by Roberto Ricciuti (7 credits) on the one hand analyses issues raised by the European Monetary Union, on the other hand deals with sovereing debt crisis in historical perspective. The module led by Marcella Veronesi (2 credits) introduces instruments for environmental economic policy and deals with market failures, externalities, public goods, sustainable development, and the relationship between economic growth, increasing population and the environment.
