Learning outcomes

history of economic thought is a subject leading students to understand the conceptual elaboration which identified economics as an autonomous discipline, gradually distancing itself from its ethical, philosophical and juridical origins. The course aims at stressing how the discipline was defined by means of reflection on economic facts and on the principles which rule them.

Assessment methods and criteria

The final exam will be an interview aiming at testing the student's overall knowledge by means of oral questions related to the required readings.
