The Visual Research Lab is the visual research laboratory of the Department of Economics at the University of Verona.
The Laboratory aims to explore and analyze, through research and teaching projects, the contribution that images – including videos, photographs, and other forms of visual data - can make to the study of economic phenomena.
The main activities of the VRL include support for:

The design of empirical frameworks of qualitative economic research involving the collection and analysis of visual data.

The identification of appropriate visual stimuli to be used in quantitative economic research, including surveys and experiments.

The dissemination of the findings of economic research through images and videos.

The development of innovative teaching projects within economics courses, to encourage learning and critical reflection through a visual approach.

The visual communication of the Department's Third Mission and Public Engagement initiatives.

The organization of training activities on visual research methods and seminars for the presentation of studies adopting a visual approach.
The VRL is located at the Santa Marta Campus, Via Cantarane 24, Verona.
