The aim of the course of International Political Economy is to provide students with analytical and conceptual tools to understand international macroeconomic developments.
The course of International Economic Policy tackles advanced issues regarding development macroeconomics. After an introductory part concerning the definition of the field of study and a general treatment of national accounting, market structure and economic agents’ behavioural functions, the course will consider issues concerning fiscal, monetary and exchange-rate policies.
Depending on time availability, a historical introduction to various theories of imperialism will be offered too.
